Kanso Tea: Kettle on?
Single-origin leaves from small organic farms, kept to a rotation of four curated teas. When a harvest ends, we retire it and a new roster enters the limelight.

簡素kan·so, noun
The art ofleaving thingsout.
It's an old Japanese idea, and we took it literally. A short shelf, never a crowded one. Every tea comes from a farm small enough that we know who picked it.
A tea stays only as long as its harvest lasts. Then it's retired, and something new rolls in. Fewer choices, more attention: in the leaf, and in the ten quiet minutes you spend with it.
- Picked by hand
- Grown without chemicals
- Sold while it lasts

The Roster
Each one picked for how different it is from the others. Side by side, with everything you'd want to know before you brew.
Not sure where to start?
Let the shelf pick one for you.

Five pieces, one firing
KLAMA is a two-person studio on Rue du Massy in Paris. We asked them for a set that makes a pot of tea feel like an occasion: a teapot, two cups on raw-clay coasters, a sugar holder and a milk boat, all wood-fired together so the glazes match.
Only a handful of sets come out of each firing. Get them while they're around.
KLAMA x KANSO TeawareWhat people say
I used to own forty teas and drink three of them. The Lapsang has ruined every other smoked tea for me: campfire first, then something like dried cherries, and it holds up for three pots.
